Course overview
The Quick Start Course is a 4-hour hands-on introduction to the basic features and functionality of RISA-3D that utilizes expert instruction and example models to familiarize users with the user interface as well as the main workflow of modeling, loading, analyzing, designing and documenting a model in RISA-3D. Spread out over 2 days (with an optional office hour session) the course is aimed at users who are new to RISA-3D, however, the tips and tricks provided by the instructor during the session can prove valuable to even the most proficient user.

Meet the instructor
Jon Oberempt, PE
Jon graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, and then worked as a consulting engineer in the Los Angeles area. Prior to joining RISA, Jon specialized in projects including custom residential homes, low-income housing projects, and occasional commercial facilities. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.
